We have registered several locally associated domain names and
have set-up an e-mail service on our Internet server where the domains
are located.
When you sign up for your own personal e-mail address you can choose
any one of the domain names that you like, we create an e-mail box
for you and set-up a re-route of all e-mails from it directly to
the e-mail box you currently use.
Simple! no user name or password to remember, and you don't
have to make any changes to the e-mail settings on your PC to start
receiving mail from your new address. All you'll need to do is change
your preferred reply address so that outgoing e-mails show your
new address.
By registering several locally associated domain names it means
that myRutland can offer the use of these names to many local people.
So you can have john.smith@homeinrutland.com and your neighbour
can have chris.jones@homeinrutland.com.
Our list of names is not large and you may not find a name you like.
If you have any suggestions for domains you think myRutland should
register for this purpose please let us know.
For an additional sum of £12.50 a year we'll even check your
e-mail for viruses before they are sent to you!
